Dempsey gets the Filipino fighting style of Arnis from Bob Tabimina.
Several of the world’s most well-known arnis institutions come from Cebu, including the Balintawak college. Started in a backyard along Balintawak street, the institution had no grading, no official curriculum and also no uniforms. Its creator created it for one objective– to eliminate and also win.
It is stated that the college’s founder was locked up for damaging a challenger’s spine. While behind bars, he educated the art to Bob Tabimina. Today, Bob has combined what he learned with other fighting styles like karate and also judo to create the Tabimina system.
